The Understand Energy Learning Hub

This Learning Hub has been created to provide you with the opportunity to explore different energy topics and increase your energy literacy. Our goal is to demystify energy by delivering up-to-date, thoughtful content geared for learners who want to gain fluency around energy. We provide knowledge and context that we hope will help you understand climate change and sustainability issues, equity and human development challenges, and energy industry markets and technology innovations.

The content on our Learning Hub comes from the Understand Energy course, which has been taught at Stanford University for more than 30 years. Much of our course content has a US focus because of our location and the availability of accurate data. However, we do provide global data and attempt to bring in data and perspectives from other countries where possible. As a team of educators, we do our best to provide accurate and current information, which is updated every 6-12 months.
